2nd Line Support Engineer (Progression to 3rd Line) - London - £33,000 + Bens

Our Partner, a leading Manged Service Provider who have been awarded with Microsoft Gold Partner Status are seeking a 2nd Line Support Analyst to join their team based in Central London


This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has demonstrable 2nd Line skills and is looking for an opportunity to gain exposure and move into a 3rd line role.

Skills Sought: 

  • Experience working with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Windows XP/7/8/10
  • Experience with Virtualisation including Hyper-V or VM Ware
  • Keen interest in Information Technology, Computer hardware and software.
  • Experience of MS Exchange Server and Office 365


Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of MS Azure platform
  • Experience of Migrations and Deployments
  • Experience of installing and configuring Routers, Firewall and Switches is preferable
  • PowerShell


Responsibilities:

  • Logging, prioritisation and escalation of IT support issues and requests.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients to promote high level of customer service.
  • Resolution of 2nd/3rd line support issues and requests via telephone, remote support or onsite visits.
  • Assist other Line Technicians with support issues where required.
  • Routine systems administration tasks.
  • Administration of hardware inventories and software licences.
  • Undertake installation and maintenance of clients and internal IT infrastructure, onsite or remotely.
